Public Commission Announcement!

PUBLIC COMMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT

After reviewing over 100 submissions, we are thrilled to announce our two public commission finalists. In the following weeks, artists Cesar Cornejo and Bill Balaskas will be exploring our building and meeting local residents to develop detailed project proposals for our building front commission. The final selection will take place in a public vote event in October.

We are very grateful to Dr Marianna Tsionki (Curator, Leeds Arts University) and Nicola Hood (Contemporary Art Curator, Harris Museum) for serving as external jurors alongside 422 Arts Director Or Tshuva.

Bill Balaskas is an artist, writer and educator based in London. Originally trained as an economist, he uses various media to explore contemporary social and political issues.

Cesar Cornejo deals with the relationship between art, architecture and society and has been influenced by having lived and worked in four different continents.
