Join us for a free calligraphy workshop with Leeds based artist Hafifa Ahmed and discover the fascinating world of Arabic calligraphy. Participants will be introduced to the special tools and techniques used by calligraphers and will create their own cards and art pieces to take back home. All materials will be provided by us and no previous knowledge is needed.

Hafifa Ahmed is an artist and Arabic calligrapher who lives in Leeds. She recently completed an MA in creative practice (2020) at Leeds Arts University and is currently involved in a research project there. Hafifa’s concerns in her Art practice are Memory, Narrative and Text, along with 3D works. She is currently preparing for an exhibition at Leeds Arts University.
